PLANS asking for permission to build storage units in Port Glasgow have been approved

The proposal aims to use vacant land on Newark Street specifically for Class 6 storage units.

The planning application for this development was submitted to Inverclyde Council by agents Rebecchi Architectural on behalf of Vortex Scotland Ltd.

This application was for permanent permission, and the proposed development will not result in a change of use for the land.

The alterations will create new non-residential floorspace amounting to a total of 353sqm.

The planning application states the development will not require new or altered water supply or drainage arrangements and will not affect any public rights of way or access.

Moreover, the site is not within an area of known flood risk, and the development will not increase flood risks elsewhere.

Three vehicle parking spaces have been proposed by the applicant.
